Reviews & Discussion

Review by SouledOutDJs Jan 10, 2003
Unfortunately, Chris had to part ways with Alphamagic Distribution and, as a result, Pirate Wax and Aztec have been shut down (for now) so that he may focus on his two new labels, Mind Over Matter 2 (MOM2) and Apache. Both are distributed through Tuned Distribution.

Official statement from Chris on his website:

"Now that Chris C has managed to extricate himself from his contract with Alphamagic Limited, both Aztec and Pirate Wax (which accompanied him out of the company)have been closed with immediate effect. Mohawk, which Alphamagic have unilaterally taken for themselves, remains running under their control for the time being. THIS SITE, HOWEVER, REMAINS FRIMLY OUTSIDE THEIR JURISDICTION AND WILL REMAIN OPEN UNDER CHRIS'S CONTROL! Whilst reference material and catalog information on past releases will continue to be available, future updates will focus purely on our new project APACHE RECORDS which launches in the autumn of 2002."
