Italian label from Bologna, originally techno-oriented, now releasing hardstyle.
The "Blq" is the International Code for identification of Airports in the world , "Blq" means Bologna.
BLQ - Not one for the faint-hearted, BLQ releases are really hard progressive tracks, that will not sit well with
most trance specialists. The releases have a certain sound best described as Hard Progressive Trance that labels like Clockwork, Stik, BXR & Scanner have been known for. Tuneboy for instance is an in-house producer for BLQ and many of his trademark sounds are used in the BLQ back-catalog. The Kick drum sweep and pitch effect, where the 4/4 beat starts off in a dull lackluster click and transforms in synewaves into a Rotterdam gabba pound that would make The Mover proud. The dancefloor may not be ready for that yet it sneaks up behind you, taps on your shoulder and wants to invade you. By the time you realize what is going on, it is too late. "I do not like hard music, but I cannot seem to stop moving"...."WOW". I like BLQ for the less progressive, more beat-driven material and if
you get the chance to find these records, take a listen.
There still is some good quality underground labels out there, and this is one of them.
