Blue Room Released

Profile:Blue Room Released was a Goa/psy-trance label that started operating in 1994 and had solid financial backing from the British B&W loudspeaker company, based in Steyning, West Sussex, UK (near Brighton). It was run by Simon Ghahary, the designer with the company who came up with the "pod" speaker series.

In 1996, the label (and indeed the Blue Room speaker company) became independent and fell under the ownership of Robert Trunz, the then-chairman of its parent B&W company and who also runs M.E.L.T. 2000.

M.E.L.T. 2000 (read: Robert Trunz) re-located to South Africa in 2002, and Blue Room Released exists now as an imprint only. The M.E.L.T. 2000 shop in Worthing (where Bowers & Wilkins have their manufacturing factory) still exists. Their African-influenced carved wooden door is not open to the public anymore. In the past it was a shop where you could get a wide range of music from Psy-Trance to World Music and Ambient.

Inpsyde Media (under license from M.E.L.T. 2000) has since re-released some of the key albums.
