Mike Shiver joined forces in early 2004 with Johan Bergström to form the Trance label Captured Music, as a part of Monster Tunes.

In 2007 Matias Lehtola joined as A&R, promotion and press manager alongside Mike Shiver. Shortly after the label became independent and launched the sublabel Captured Digital.
In late 2008 Sami Saari set up Wicked Recordings as a sublabel of Captured Music.
