After 5 years on friday 3rd January 1997, Club Kinetic held its last friday night at The Leisurebowl, Stoke On Trent. After receiving legal advice regarding the final stage of their appeal on thursday 2nd January 1997, they were advised to drop their appeal immediately & this decision had to be made for that friday. The reasons for this decision were complicated but basically was a result of continuous pressure from the authorities, who were making it very difficult for them to carry on the fight. The outcome was the closure of Club Kinetic by themselves on friday 3rd January 1997.

They then moved to The Northgate Arena, Chester & later did two events with Reality at Club Metz (Time & Space), Newcastle Under Lyme, Stoke On Trent. But everything came to an end in 1998.

Club Kinetic is now back at its new home at The Emporium, Coalville, Leicester ten years after their last event.
