Cookshop began its foraging into the world of leftfield experimental beats back in 2002. Setup by recording artists/producers Lost Idol and La Femme the vision for the label was an unrestrictive output for quality diverse dance music of an experimental nature filling the void left open by cult UK labels such as Mo Wax and Pork Recordings. Artists appearing regularly on Cookshop include Digital Midgets and Jonathan Krisp as well as sporadic contributions from Implosion Quintet, Mr Candu and Outerlectuals.
