| Profile: | DTA records was started in April of 2001 as a place where new artists could distribute and release their music as they saw it with no interference from the label to change their vision from music to graphics to package. In addition to musicians we hope to help graphic designers and other artisans gain exposure through us as well as help the general music consumer by offering the lowest possible prices on both our releases and items we receive as distro from other labels.
We do our best to review all demos sent our way and give some sort of feedback. We will help most anyone distribute their material on a consignment basis via our mailorder. click here for details.
All of the above outlines what we feel is the proper way to endorse and promote music. Quality releases, a sense of community among labels, artists, DJs, designers, and zines, and a love of music that cannot be surpassed by the greed of corporate labels.
