Degenerate is a sublabel of Small Doses for harsh noise and power electronics.
The concept is pretty simple: 3″ cdrs with photocopied covers in editions of 33 copies. They will be released in batches of 3 and sold by the label only as a batch.
The cover artwork provided by the artists involved will be reproduced on crappiest photocopier available. The original artwork will be the first of the edition. It will be copied. That copy will be the second of the edition. The copy will then be copied, creating the third cover, and so on down the line. Thus, the cover of the last of the edition will be a 33rd generation photocopy, and depending on the art, it may be completely illegible.
Each CDr includes a numbered insert (#1 being the master cover and #33 being the last copied cover) with the artist and label information.
