The independent record label Electro-Shock-Records started in Neubrandenburg (Germany) in the spring 2003! The idea for an own label was born after a PopKomm (Music Fair Trade/Cologne) aftershow-party in the Rhein/Main Area @ Germany in the year 2002 by Jens Krause & his producer friend Vernon B. (Producer/Remixer of Artists like Front 242, Talla 2XLC, Blind Vision, Trance Allstars and many more..and producer of many Music Research-Releases in the 90s!)

The label-logo was signed by U.V.S. (member of the band Shock Of Reality), the idea comes from label-manager!

The label-owner/manager Jens Krause (2) was formerly known as music-journalist for many european magazines New Life, BodyStyler, Zillo, Orkus, Sonic Seducer and on the international level for Side-Line/Belgium and Release/Sweden! He compiled in the years before he started his own label-project many CD-Compilations for different labels:

- Zoth Ommog: Body Rapture 8
- Ausfahrt: Electrocity Vol.11, Electrocity Vol. 12
- and more

Electro-Shock-Records first sign in the music-world was the CD-Compilation Stromschlag Volume 1

The first signing was Dead Sexy Inc. and first band release the Breakme (produced by Paul Kendall). After this release more and more artists started approaching the label: Cue To Recall (Norway), Kash (2) (Germany), Blind Vision (Germany)…

Today Electro-Shock-Records is representing some of the interestings international electro underground-acts and is a special place for Electro / EBM / Synth-Pop and Electro-Clash!

One of the biggest success for the label was the nomitee on the SAMA-Award (Swedish Alternative Music Awards) 2006 in the categorie “Best Newcomer Album” with Cue To Recall`s Mainland-Album!!

Electro-Shock-Records is distributed by DMD/Discomania Records in Germany / Austria / Switzerland!
