Escape · Get away from anywhere, to any place, at any time.

Escape is a new record label set up by Monitor-EMI with a view to releasing original Czech music material.

First and foremost, this should help the company address an alternative, "young" audience who are open to progressive trends. It should also appeal to listeners for whom music epitomises their approach to living as well as being an integral part of their lifestyle. In this way the Escape label should support the promotion of projects which offer a clear alternative to mainstream pop.

The Escape label hopes to bring important and meaningful Czech musical production to a wider audience, regardless of its genre. It also aims to support promising new interpretations in various cultural scenes such as modern dance music or indie rock.

The Escape label should provide creative musicians, who have an individual view of the world, with an opportunity to attract people who see music not just as pleasant background noise but also as a way of searching for deeper ideas and meanings.

After all, Escape means to get away. From anywhere, to any place, at any time.
