FAMILIES was founded in 2001 as a booking agency and a record label. Since 2003, FAMILIES launched the FAMILIESdownloads podcast series while developing FAMILIESbookings, the booking agency and promoting various parties across Europe. In 2009, FAMILIES started FAMILIESlabels, its labels management department.

Started in september 2003, the FAMILIESdownloads is a series of djs mixes and original productions exclusively available as free and legal mp3s from www.audioFAMILIES.com complete with a downloadable and printable jpeg CD booklet.

Recently the audioFAMILIES project had morphed into a podcast series including a series of dj mixes exclusively crafted for FAMILIES (the FAMILIESdownloads), FAMILIES' artists own podcast releases (the FAMILIESpodcasts) and live recordings in night clubs (the FAMILIESsnapshots).
