The actual name of the label at first was the Fever, named after a legendary Latin club, as reflected in the catalog numbers as well a liberal interpetation of the logo, which reads: "THE Fever...catch it!" Hip-Hop and Freestyle label that started as a sub-label of Sutra Records. Initially distributed worldwide by West End Music Industries. In the early 1990s, when Def Jam Recordings launched its sister label RAL, it was one of the many labels it distributed after Sutra shut its doors. When Def Jam switched distribution from SME to PolyGram, it decided not to renew its distribution agreement. After being completely independendent for a while, the label became part of Warlock Records.
