| Profile: | File 13 Records was born in 1989 as a cassette label, with the purpose of documenting the then nascent Little Rock punk/indie scene. The label was initially ran by Jason McCloud and David Burns, but changed hands several times over the years, and moved into releasing records and CDs.
In 1996, File 13 moved to Philadelphia, where it expanded its artistic roster and horizons. Today, the label is based in Chicago and is being operated by Stephen Schmidt and Justin Sinkovich.
