Freshline Records

Electro / Rap Label based in Berlin, Germany. Founded by Olaf Jeglitza AKA O-Jay and Frank Hassas AKA Quickmix in 1988.
First label deal with Rough Trade Records in 1989.
Turned into 'Freshline Records Musikproduktion GmbH' in 1990. Besides the original share holders Olaf Jeglitza & Frank Hassas, Jürgen Wind became new partner and third share holder.
Second label deal with ZYX Records in December 1989.
In 1992 Freshline Records became solely a production company, after the label deal with ZYX Records ended in 1992.
In December 1992 Freshline Records made a new deal with Hansa Musik (that later became BMG Berlin Musik GmbH, and today is owned by Sony BMG Music Entertainment) in regards to the recording artist Real McCoy.
In 1993 / 1994, the later worldwide hits "Another Night", "Run Away" & "Automatic Lover (Call For Love)", were released by Hansa / BMG.
In July 1994, Olaf Jeglitza sold his shares to the remaining share holders Frank Hassas and Jürgen Wind and left the company to exclusively focus on his activities as Real McCoy.
In July 1996, Frank Hassas sold his shares to the remaining share holder Jürgen Wind and the new share holder Jeanette Wind.
In 2003, Jürgen Wind dropped his position as president of the company, that he took up position for since 1990 and has taken the label name 'Freshline Records' in the 'Freshline Music GmbH'. New president of the company became Thorsten Biernath.
In 2005, the company became insolvent and became a subject to insolvency.
The label name 'Freshline Records' is from 2003 by the company called 'Freshline Music Verlag GmbH', owned by Linda Wind & Regina Wind. President of the company is Jürgen Wind.
