G-Stone is the label owned by the austrian downbeat-legends Kruder & Dorfmeister. Mostly the releases cover smooth dub, downbeat and trip-hop stuff, but on the other hand with their new signing Stereotyp they are getting a bit more faster and electronical and are also releasing the hip-hop debut-album from the famous austrian DJ DSL.

well... i think g-stone is very important for austria because it has done a lot of publicity for us an showed that our country has a great offer of jazz/dub/funk/dope/..../ mixed in a direction, nowaddays published as, "wiener melange", but at least not only this.
they played d&b too somtimes (don't know if they still do it) and have as well a good command for this.
if you don't know them or something of their music i would say you've really missed something.

it..Much more prophetic and experimental that a common ear could understand at the early stages of the label's releases but..as we can all see now, tracks are played on and on equal to other experimental material which is NOW created. Peter and Richard deserve to be called as the Bethovens of their genre and their time, not only because of the quality of their tunes but also because they were the guiding inspiration for many many other artists who came after them..including my self..thank u very much for your contribution to Global Music..
