Gimme Some Records

Gimme Some began as a group of friends throwing house parties in Isla Vista, California. Small intimate parties soon gave way to huge, street clogging affairs drawing 300-400 party goers. Ultimately, Gimme Some's dedication to bringing some of LA's top DJ's to Santa Barbara brought a following large enough to graduate to promoting mountain parties. In 1997 Gimme Some Records found a home in a small upstairs store front and eventually became the Central Coast's longest running strictly underground record store. In 2002 the store was sold to the current owners of Dubsnap records, but the Gimme Some name lives on with it's resident DJ's and record label.
