At his beginning, the Hot Mix 5 consisted of five DJ's: Scott Smokin' Silz, Kenny Jammin' Jason, Farley Funkin' Keith, Mickey Mixin' Oliver and Ralphi Rockin' Rosario. They had a radio program on WBMX called Hot Mix Dance Party. There should have been six of them, but Jeff Davis didn't show up at their first performance.
