The Lester Radio Corporation was set up in 1976 by Sonny Lester, which later changed to the Lester Recording Catalog. Florida’s T.K. Records distributed the label, and like the distribution label, LRC's releases stuck with the same disco agenda that was becoming so profitable by the mid '70s, though LRC’s use of more jazz rooted musicians meant its releases were more jazz-funk and organ-jazz based than the mainstream disco T.K. were releasing.
