Loop Recordings (Portugal)

Loop:Recordings was founded in 2001 and, since then, has established itself on the portuguese independent music scene.
Loop:Recordings mission has been to bring out an eclectic and musically varied selection of music. To obtain this, Loop:Recordings has cultivated an active roster of new and established artists, providing diverse and artistically challenging album packages in a wide range of music. Loop:Recordings has released albums by such varied and talented artists like Rocky Marsiano, Sagas, The Vicious Five, Sam the Kid, Oficio, Bulllet, Camarao and Factor Activo, among others.
Loop:Recordings releases have been awarded by portuguese musical and general media with Album of the Year awards in 2002 (Sam the Kid's Beats Vol. 1) and 2004 (Melo D's Outro Universo). Bulllet's The Lost Tapes was Runner-Up in the 2002 Portuguese Music Awards. 2005 was also a good year : all 5 Loop:Recordings releases were featured in all the Portuguese Best Album of the Year Loop:Recordings was also nominated as Portuguese Label of the Year in Portugal's leading dance music magazine, Dance Club.
In the beginning of 2006, Loop:Recordings started its dance music subsidiary called bloop, which, with Loop:Off's more experimental orientation, brings a new depth to the musical world of Loop:Recordings.
