Muzique Tropique

Profile:
Scottish Deep House Label from the mid-nineties. Stopped releasing records in 1996 when the Glasgow Underground label began. Muzique Tropique became an artist on that label.
Muzique Tropique began life in 1994. Initially it was the name of the label that Kevin Mckay and Andy Carrick used to release their own brand of deep house. They would change the names of each artist to give the impression that Muzique Tropique was a real label with bona-fide separate artists. 4 AM, West Coast Connection, Urban Revolution, Mystic Soul, American Intrigue and Communication X were the monikers they went under. Unfortunately, no one was fooled. The Muzique Tropique sound was too distinctive. A fact that impressed Terry Farley, who had them produce a twelve for his Jus' Trax label.
