Oh oh! Observatory Online. One of the more better, yet underrated, netlabels releasing electronic music.
Where most newer netlabels these days tend to release a bunch of crap, and begging more known musicians to get some unfinished/unreleased work for early recognition, Observatory Online stuck to it, simply releasing stuff that was well done. Quality over quantity. This netlabel definetly has a more mature sound. Most of the releases are more melody driven, provoking an emotional experiance. Having been around since 2002, they have definetly put out some of the best stuff there is.
On top of that, Observatory Online's Phasmid has children. That has spawned a nice couple of concept releases. The Uberkids are what exactly the name says. Two children whom record samples of themselves. Those samples are then passed around to artists on the label and are then 'remixed' into whatever the artist may wish, as long as it dosent sound scary. Thanks to The Uberkids, Observatory Online - and its artists - have gained alot alot of attention (thanks to a CD release of The Uberkids release).
All in all, the label is excellent, housing some of the best electronic musicians and releases to date.
