Outland Records

Profile:
Outland records started of in 1991 as a label of the famous Amsterdam record store Outland Records.
Together with Outland Records (club orientated) also a label called Spiritual Records (techno orientated) was born. Both labels used the same catnumbers, starting with "trip". Outland Records used the trip 0xx serie, where Spiritual Records was catalogued with trip 1xx.

Famous for its Dadara sleeves, and excellent techno tracks, Outland was soon wanted all over the world. Unfortunately and due to internal problems under management of the first owner, the labels went bankrupt in the summer of 1997. Here fore original releases on Outland records are worth a lot of money these days.

In 1999 the labels were taken over by Rhythm Import in The Hague. They also started with a new cat# serie OUTxxx for Outland Records and SPRxxx for Spiritual Records. Rhythm Import went bankrupt in 2003, which was also the end of both labels.

As from summer 2005 Jeroen Krom (a.k.a. dj Jerome) is officially owner of Outland Records. A new record together with Jamie Anderson introduces the new Outland sound.

one of the best house labels to ever release anything in the netherlands, this label started simply as an amsterdam record store.

outland has released some classics! and their sleeve designs, done by dutch artist dadara, are always very nice to see.
