Paramount Records was a soundtrack and pop records label formed after the purchase of Paramount Pictures by Gulf+Western in 1968. Pop reissues of the Dot Records back catalog, a label already owned by Paramount, were also reissued here. One unique reissue format was the "Famous Twinsets" package which contained two different reissue LPs in a double LP format. The label ended with it's sale to ABC Records in 1974.
