Reviews & Discussion

Review by JonnieDarko Sep 30, 2005 (edited over 4 years ago)
Indeed this is a Hallmark Deep House label of the 90's & beyond..as it will be remembered more as time goes on, especially in these relatively dark times.
Soulful, eloquently produced releases. With great vocals from various sources e.g. Kurt Harmon 'Comin' Back' a true classic. World, Sky, Universes 'The Answer', Konfusion Kidzz 'Remember'..Music for Darkened rooms & for people who want to FEEL True house music. We will find the way! Thank you Prescription & Thank you Ron Trent et al for getting inside our souls.

Agree, Prescription remains a very important label. By no means prolific in terms of numbers of releases, those that came out were always worth waiting for. The "Relics EP" and "Foot Therapy" were classic, clever house with nice subtle changes. Never mainstream but once discovered had a loyal following. Limited stocks out there too it seems.

To me, the best deep house label of the 90's.

the sound of theirs was a mixture of NY's rhtythm house & Detroit's electronic atmospheres.
all the records of are high quality, on heavy vynil and with state of the art design.

buying one of the EP's (i'm refering to the PRES series) was not unlike buying anything else, because they had different quality tracks, not just a single with 4 remixes...

the PR series began when Chez Damier let Ron Trent alone on the project...
