Being an eye-witness to actually seeing boxes of these so-called Canadian Pressings in a half burnt down section of Trax Records, I can only come to one conclusion.
Larry Sherman, owner and operator of Trax Records, Chicago was the mastermind behind these R&R Record Reviews. Of course I don't have evidence to charge anyone with straight "bootlegging" but lets face facts here. Sherman who really does not have too many good years in front of him left, never will be remembered for his honesty in the industry.
That does not mean the man is'nt legendary and his labels are going down as a big part of House Music History. But the timing of R&R suggests that not much was going on in terms of big releases between 1989-1993 in Trax and they needed to keep that vinyl churning out. And R&R was a definite cash cow. Ca-ching Ca-ching.....
