| Profile: | Ritmic was founded in the year 2001 by Swiss breakbeat DJ & producer Bengston with the idea to
build an outlet for young artists to show their talents outside the borders of Switzerland. The country
has got a healthy dance music scene but only a handful of small labels. This is where Ritmic steps in,
filling the gap and giving young talent international exposure on a professional level.
The label has received praise from people like John Digweed, James Zabiela, Jody Wisternoff, Orbital,
Plump DJÂ’s, Tayo, Annie Nightinhale, Aquasky, Hyper and many many more. Reviews in a range of
Music Mags such as Mixmag, DJ Magazine, Ministry, XLR8R and URB as well as appearances on
various compilations including ReactÂ’s 21st century series or the critcally acclaimed Alive Mix by James
Zabiela.
Future plans for Ritmic include more top quality singles, lots of touring for the Ritmic DJs and of course
having a laugh at anyone still thinking Switzerland has nothing else to offer than mountains, cheese
and rock-solid banks!
