Shelter was a U.S. record label started by Leon Russell and Denny Cordell that operated from 1969 to 1981
Shelter label appearance:
• Early in 1970, the Shelter label was red with an egg image bearing an inverted Superman logo. *From mid-1970 to 1973 the Shelter logo was usually overstamped (obscured) with a black rectangle. (This to avoid any copyright infringement with DC Comics).
• From 1974 the Shelter label was an 'S' in egg-shape circle on orange tint b/ground, black text, 'Shelter' in a curve at top.
• The Shelter label then became orange, with dark orange print, 'Shelter' in straight line at top.
• This Shelter label was then replaced by the 'Saturn & Moon' image on orange tint.
