Profile:Spider Records is an independent record label based in Toronto focused on electronic and atmospheric music. Founded in 1993 by programmer/composer/guitarist Deane Hughes as a vehicle for his own music, the label is home to his projects Akumu, Alchemy and Thrive. Spider has released debuts from several other Canadian acts that share the label's darker demeanors, including Rhea's Obsession, Rezz and The Incredible Melting Man.
