Already 5 years old and one of the most essential minimal/tech-house labels around. Founded by MIA and Falko Brocksieper and showcasing the likes of Pan/Tone, Coordinates, Canson and Dean DeCosta. Sometimes deep and dubby, sometimes rocking, but always consistent. Check the earlier MIA releases for some really deep and beautiful tech-house, or Pan/Tone for the opposite end of the spectrum. The Odd Pieces series and On And On compilation will give you an example of the labels output if you are new to Sub Static. Personal highlights for me include Pan/Tone - Green Bottles..., Db - Donaupark, Falko Brocksieper - Hoax Deluxe & Laguna Seca, and the recent EP by newcomer Bolcher.
The Karloff sub-label was formed in 2003 to release an altogether more minimal and diverse sound.
