Subsonic Underground - Was formed in August of 1996 after Simon Apex & his wife Angela moved to the USA from London. At this time hardcore was not a prominent sound in the USA and as their love for hardcore started in the early 90's naturally they were determined to bring the sound with them. The organization known today was not an easy task to form as it took many years of determination and risks that many other promoters would not touch.



Since our first event, Groove Injection on November 15 1996 we have pulled out all the stops to bring you exceptional talent, production but most of all value for money. Since then we have been responsible for the best in hard dance that Northern California has debuted including Scott Brown, Robbie Long, Devastate, Sharkey, Energy, Ethos, Dair, Hixxy, Force & Styles, Fade, Vinylgroover, DNA, Lostboy, Nimh, Dj Dummy, Paulina Taylor, Starr, MC Charlie B, MC Storm, MC Stylee, MC ADB & MC Verbal and Jon Doe.



The record store opened in March 1999, the aim, to supply the USA with the newest and most upfront Hardcore & Hard Dance. At the end of October 2002 we decided to close the store front and move into offices as we needed to streamline our business operations in order to keep up with the demand for hardcore in the USA. Nowadays Subsonic Underground and the Online Store are located on the 10th floor of J Street. Anyone is more than welcome to stop by to pick up choons and merchandise, just give us a call first to ensure we are in.
