Talkin' Loud

Profile:
Talkin' Loud was founded by DJ's Gilles Peterson and Norman Jay in 1990. The label's name was based on Peterson's and Patrick Forge's sunday afternoon club session "Talkin' Loud And Sayin' Somethin' " —better known amoungst its patrons as simply "Dingwalls", which was the name of the venue at the time in Camden, London— during the 1980's.

Gilles Peterson is no longer involved with the label, but is now involved in Brownswood Recordings.

Recent versions of the original releases have been re-released by parent label Mercury under the Talkin' Loud Classics branding.
