The viennese musicians Chris Isepp and Peter Hartwig founded their record label top10records in spring 2003 as an independent platform for their own productions. That the label stands out from the rest is down to its peculiar definition of pop music. Needless to say, we are not talking about the concept of pop music as propagated by the global "energy radio stations".
At top10records, pop is conceived as a declaration of faith in songs with a fearless use of hedonistic hook lines, spiced up with citations from the voluptuous treasure trove of the musical past.
