In the 60s "Track Record", a sublabel of Polydor, has been run by Kit Lambert and Chris Stamp and was originally the home of bands like Jimi Hendrix and Who, The.

Today the label is run by Ian Grant (former manager of Stranglers, The, Cult, The, Big Country) who was given the permission to reform the label and to use the "Track Record" name and logo. This new company does not hold the rights to the back catalogue.
