Uncommon Records is a record label started by Nasa and Cirrus of The Presence that will advance the movement of progressive hip hop. Uncommon s goal is to reach the listener that wants something different, something that actually is underground. The artists on Uncommon challenge their listeners on many fronts, lyrically, politically, emotionally and musically. We push the envelope here, but not just for the sake of it, its so that issues that effect us everyday can be presented in new and creative ways. Art, talent and creativity take precedent over all else on Uncommon Records. This is the mission statement from day 1 of Uncommon Records and will remain so for the duration of the labels lifetime. We hope that the people that are sorely missing this kind of music, will enjoy the releases from our label.
