Japanese happy hardcore label run by Naoki Atsumi.

During 2003, the Upsurge label released a batch of CD-R singles containing exciting new tracks from a collective of emerging Japanese hardcore artists. Whilst the Upsurge label itself now appears to be defunct, many new Japanese hardcore CDs are bearing the Upsurge logo, signifying the Upsurge crew's involvement with the release.

There were two different series of Upsurge singles:
Back 2 The Future (B2F): These releases contained slower tracks than typical happy hardcore and were usually reminiscent of tracks from the UK's breakbeat rave era during the early 90s.

Pleasure Drome (PLD): The main and most prolific of the two series, specialising in a faster happy hardcore style.
