Reviews & Discussion

Some collectors will hate this label, because they fear their hard-to-find oldskool gadgets to become "worthless", others will celebrate its birth, because these represses are within everyone's reach now, for a reasonable price and on mint vinyl.
In my opinion, good tunes always keep their value (regardless how many times they are repressed) and the quality of records should not be judged by the crazy amounts that some people are willing to pay for them. If you take the risk to pay a lot of money for one record, you should also consider that it may once loose its exclusivity.
Besides, there is still a whole load of awesome, exclusive tracks left that are not repressed, not because these are bad tunes, but because they are not hyped so much.
Also, a lot of "haters" still have one or more of these represses in their collection.
So please, don't believe the hype, and let's concentrate on saving the vinyl.

In my opinion this is one of the best licensing labels of it’s time and a fine piece of marketing-strategy.
This label gives everybody a chance to get his old-school classic for a fair price and a great outcome for those his original vinyl is damaged or has scratch marks.
When you got some original releases (like I do in some cases) you can now spare your originals by using a VIP Classic and play the music without any disturbing hisses and crackles. You don’t have to fear damaging your originals anymore and save your worries that somebody might steal your records.
Originals are still very pricy. The chance of obtaining a mint of near mint original for a fair price is very small. Also a few releases are very rare and you will have to be very lucky just to see it on the second-hand market.
I am not in a position to pay over 30 euros or more for an original version. And if I could I wouldn’t, I am not stupid. What you'll probably get in most cases is a used record wich I think is not worth the expense at all.

A great DJ Solution. It saves me worries and I can now prevent ruining my costly originals and still play the music!! A big credit to VIP-Classics!!

A series that seems aimed on lowering the worth of everyone's prized record collection. It releases much sought after classics, some of which could even be named "hard-to-find" classics and rare releases, but on such a massive scale that everyone can obtain a record which other other people might have sought for a long time or paid tremendous amounts to obtain it.
It label was said to stop at the 40th release (far enough). But the series still goes on and on.
My oppinion: Someone's quick and simple way to earn a quick buck by releasing other people's work.
