Desert Island Selection
I'm off to my Desert Island and not coming back. There's room for 25 releases and a toothbrush in my suitcase, these are the one's that have stood the 'test of time'.

  1. 1
Comforting somehow, this music just makes me feel 'better'!
  2. 2
Icy cold, precise & enthralling IDM.
  3. 3
    Exciting, weird, darkly humorous.
  4. 4
Eclectic IDM with tantalising & sparse 'Infinite' guitar.
  5. 5
    Spiritually refining, peaceful, precise.
  6. 6
    Putting the background centre-stage, beautifully.
  7. 7
Essential to anyone interested in the development of 'sampling', and fantastic in itself.
  8. 8
Black leather, Berlin, Brian (Eno), Bowie's back!
  9. 9
Probably the finest example of 'Art Rock meets Ambient'.
  10. 10
Faultless Ambient, balancing texture and melody effortlessly.
  11. 11
Sublime Jazz/Ambient fusion with Hassell's unique Trumpeting.
  12. 12
Intense, pulverising Rock (with added intelligence!)
  13. 13
Music akin to watching a beautiful monument being constructed, then it vanishes!
  14. 14
Bleak relentless riffs, with acerbic lyrical counterpoint.
  15. 15
Music as a vicious 'audio assault course', a palm dampening head-rush!
  16. 16
80+ mins of Rock meets Classical meets 'Myth', the quintessence of it's genre.
  17. 17
Sinuous, fresh and original, it occupies a place of it's own in the crowded 'Electronic' genre.
  18. 18
Germanic(!), hard, crisp, and a kick up Rock's bloated bottom.
  19. 19
Drum 'n' Bass/Electronica/Jazzy mash-up. You will swear you CD player is malfunctioning in places ;)
  20. 20
Do I really have to tell you how Hot / Cool this album STILL is?
  21. 21
Murky, Ethereal, a real sonic journey.
  22. 22
Synth-pop that bounds along and takes itself seriously.
  23. 23
Like a paella, full of all sorts of good and strange things.
  24. 24
The best of British Rock/Pop synthesis.
  25. 25
'Awaken' to be played at my funeral service. Wakeman's church organ solo would raise the dead!
