This is not a complete list, I'll add stuff whenever I want :)
It's a mixture of hard to find stuff and easy to find stuff, Italo-Disco doesn't have to be expensive to be good :)
The proof that Italo-Disco must not be expensive to be good. The vocals are a bit over the top but that bassline is simply fantastic. PS: over the top is cool ;)
This won't pop up in much lists I guess, you like it or you don't, IMO, the refrain is superb (very grotesque). I do not have the original but the repress on I.D. Limited.
Thank god that Flexx and Radius repressed this gem. Very unique sounding Italo-Disco by Casco, one of the true masters of Italo-Disco. BOTH songs on this release are 5-star songs.
Although it's cheaper than Paul Paul's other release "Burn On The Flames", I like this one a lot more, the melody and chorus are more in the "happy modus" :) Verrrry catchy song.
Traditional Italo-Disco, this is a fine example of a song where the vocals and music fit perfectly together. There's a very positive atmosphere is this song, love it!
Lesser known than Magic Carillon but I prefer Fairy-Tale (without any disrecpect to Magic Carillon), it's typical cheesy Italo with a rather sad melody, yet the synths and bassline are very sleazy. A superb song.
The synths in this song are to die for, brilliant song that hits the spot: nice male vocals, steady beat, perfect melody and a nice chorus. This song has al ingredients to be excellent.
Another highlight from the people of I.D. Limited who deliver fantastic work by remastering and re-releasing classic Italo-Disco that is very hard to find nowadays. This on consists of the best ultra classics from the legendary Rago and Farina: The Garden, Robot Is Systematic, Wanexa, Expansives and an unreleased great song. What could one wish more? Ace!
Some songs are just perfect, this is an example of a perfect song: a smashing bassline, sleazy synths and perfect male vocals. A true gem that will make your body move.
Running Straight is just pure Italo bliss, I have no clue what the guy is singing about but it sounds fantastic. A pretty melancholic melody with superb synths.
Ultra classic in the genre. Two totally different songs, Living Up is the more "dramatic" style (but very catchy though)and Stop is funky as hell, the song is almost pure instrumental aside from 2 short vocal parts in the first half of the song. Italo madness! :)
On of the best songs I've heard in the Italo area. The melody and mood of this song are to die for, very sad and ultra melancholic. On top of my wantlist for many years now due to the high prices...
Another fantastic re-issue from the fine people from I.D. Limited which includes 2 hard to find classics: the brilliant Clay Pedrini - New Dream and sexy Blue Russell - I Wanna Fly Away. Top notch!
Very melancholic song with nice female vocals in the chorus with the typical Italo-English grammatical errors (you aren't FALL in love)which adds to the charm of this song :)
I just love the melody of the chorus in this song, I know many people don't like the vocals in this song and prefer the instrumental but I think the vocals are superb. Love it!
Imo more synth pop/electro than Italo but a superb record anyway, Love Games is my favourite song here, great to listen to on a sunny day :). This LP contains another version of Dancing Therapy than the maxi, I prefer the maxi version which has more power.
Another one that won't pop up in much lists. This was the first italo song that I heard when I was a little kid, that futuristic and (now)over-the-top sounding synthline smashed me in the face. I always feel very nostalgic when I listen to this. This one has a huge emotional value to me.
