Ok, here's a question. I have a UK pressing, presumably 5th pressing from 1986, with runouts SHVL 804 A-8/B-5. Can anyone tell me exact year of issue and confirm that this is 5th pressing?

somebody states in his review, that this Remastering is a new analog master, but sonically closer to the 2003 SACD release. He also says that the 2011 release is sonically closer to the original mix.
But, a brand new 2011 Reissue I got some weeks ago was of such bad pressing quality (lots of pops and slightly distorted), I returned it to amazon. Now, I ordered a copy of this release, hoping the best ...

The music part of the set is fine. But a scarf? Crappy marbles? And a frankly poorly-done oversized booklet with photos of DSOTM pants and cars painted with the DSTOM cover (and some of the photos used are actually below print resolution and blown-up???) C'mon, this is offensively against the grain of the album's original minimalist-as-maximalist aesthetic, and laughably amateurish. Who made the choices here? Do you think the fans are that tasteless? The whole "ultra deluxe" box set idea has obviously jumped the shark at this point. These particular words of wisdom from Morrissey more than 25 years ago never seemed more apropos: "Re-issue! Re-package! Re-package! / Re-evaluate the songs / Double pack with a photograph / Extra track (and a tacky badge)".

I need to query this entry.
I pre-ordered and bought this album the day of its release. It has the features 1 to 4 incl.
I cant tell if 5 is right, but it could be and its a matt finish.
6 - My sleeve was open both ends - the posters and stickers being in one side. It was never sealed.
7 - I have that inner but I think numbers slightly different - too small for me to see.
8 Poster as described
9 I have used / lost the stickers.
Mine also has the circular "Dark side of the moon" sticker. I might have placed that there if were shrink wrapped or it may have always been there.
So is this the first pressing???, Noting my comments in the first line??????
Can anyone enlighten me?

Anybody else experiencing some pretty awful sibilance problems with the 30th anniversary pressing? The "S" sounds on Time and Brain Damage are horrendous, and I have a pretty decent TT to play it (1974 Rega Planar 2). I'm actually thinking of selling my (almost) brand new copy and picking up an older Harvest or EMI copy instead. Thoughts?
