Pink Floyd ‎– The Wall

I invite all collectors to pay attention in a detail about this record: its silence floor.
Every record has a "noise floor", a certain level of noise that keeps sounding while music is playing. That bad signal could be higher or lower, considering its lacquer, masterizing, material, styllus, turntable motor, kind of vinyl, etc..
This record is an exception, because we hear nothing! Then I should call this as a "Silence Floor"
I start my turntable, and suddenly, "pow", music begins!
Remember, I am nobody to write a review about this Pink Floyd masterpiece, I am writting about the record itself. This 2012 recording received a remastering, the best I ever heard. Only songs were included, very very clear songs. I remember when I listened the original recording, about 30 years ago, and I should say this new version is so much better!
Can you imagine how much progress 30 years of technology could be used now? For sure they used!
Luck us, that can hear it now! Another best buy! Please forget about that older version! I sugest you buy this one.

Of course it's an EMI cash in....but who really cares.
As mentioned - it gives more people the chance to own it on vinyl.
In my opinion - the remasters don't sound too bad - and i would be onboard a Momentary Lapse or Division Bell resissue as well.

How bout Pulse on BluRay - EMI?

Obviously this an EMI cash in, but why? Who would buy something that has been pressed on 2xLP's many, many times. Why not 6xLP's so we HEAR the Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y? I'd buy that, but not a 14th 2xLP pressing, sorry big-corporate-music-conglomerates, not this time. The cd / dvd boxsets should be vinyl, just sayin, plastic is c-r-a-p.

Could anyone settle an argument that me and my friends are having over this they say it was released on the 30 of November 1979 i on the other hand say they had finished recording the wall on the 30th of november but was not released till the 8th of December 1979 can any one settle this for us please :)

It easily gets beaten by The Division Bell.

Richard Wright are actually listed as a member of the band at the inner gatefold, on this german release. At least the UK as well as the swedish 1979 releases were not listing any bandmembers.

Probably my least favorite album by them. Though I *do* like the movie.

This is really a markstone in music history. Actually it's the soundtrack to the animated movie picture "The Wall" (absolutely well worth seeing). It is about loneliness, hunger for love, drug influences, Vera Lynn and other youth time problems. It also stands for an antagonism to the establishment and could be interpreted to level an accusation at the political system.
A "must-have"!
