The first 20.000 are limited on white vinyl, the next batch will be standard black..so it will might take years until they run out of the white ones ;)

On the back insert, my copy has the words "Sub Pop is a registered trademark of Sub Records. www.subpop.com" added to it on the last line next to where the address is. Mine also has C (copyright logo) P 1989 on it, not C and P 1989. There is a 2002 US LP version listed on here that has that same info on it as well. Sub Pop probably re-pressed the cd's too and i'm guessing that from then on the subsequent pressings probably have that new info added to them.

I have one of this on white slighty marbled, on Tupelo Recordings, the artist name and album name on the front on silver, the credits on the back on white, manufactured an dist. by Revolver/Cartel, catalog number: TUP LP6. Barcode: 5-018615-200611. the run-out etchs are : TUPLP6-A/TUPLP6-B, no "MPO" anywhere... "Big cheese" announced on the back and on label, but it comes with "Love buzz", eleven tracks. Labels on record on grey with white letters. can anybody hel me with this??? Someone said that's not original. Many thanks.

How much are these selling for now? I was lucky enough to buy a copy from the States about 5 yrs ago for just over $500.00. just curious

This item is what Sub Pop released as the second pressing of the Bleach LP after the first attempt failed. (they tried for a second pressing of marbled white vinyl)

It is limited to 2000 copies and includes a poster.

This is a counterfeit release. Bleach never came out on purple vinyl in the UK

I have a copy on the Tupelo label pressed on red vinyl. I can't find anything out about it anywhere.

It is commonly mentioned that this album has been recorded for about ONLY 600 US Dollars, meaning that there's nothing to expect out of its sound quality and that it cannot compete with the "big" albums that were recorded for hundreds of thousands of dollars. The cost of recording this album and the time that it has been recorded in, to most people, immediately determines this album to be in a category of albums that cannot even be compared to albums like Metallica (that cost them millions and took a whole year to produce). That is an amateurish and snob viewpoint. Everything in the music depends not on money spent. Some brilliant works of art can be created in small amounts of time and with no big expenses. I do not mean that Bleach is one of these masterpieces, but I just imply that this information about recording cost and time should be abandoned, forgotten when evaluating an record. A record is a work of art and it's production costs should not overshadow itself.

Great album made before they got famous, I guess. I too prefer this over the much more polished Butch Vig produced Nevermind. They were supposed to be buddies with Sonic Youth, which makes sense if you hear how they throw up a huge wall of sound. Sub Pop say that they managed to survive the digital era partly because of the profits they make off Bleach. 'Love Buzz' was originally written by Shocking Blue, a Dutch band from the sixties.
