Athlete ‎– Black Swan

This album has mostly two problems - the very cheesy artwork and its predecessor "Beyond the neighborhood". With that longplayer Athlete went into irrelevance. So maybe many people dismissed the band. Wrongly - because "Black Swan" has everything a pop aplbum needs. Strong melodies, brought by the typical slightly croaky voice and atmosphere. On some songs they also use the sound of cheap synths, as they did in their beautiful debut "Vehicles & Animals". What makes "Black Swan" the perfect mix between "Vehicles and Animals" and "Tourist" and way better than the latest Snow Patrol output. For all who abandoned Athlete - give them a second chance and listen to this album.
