Indeed, the lyrics of Hyper hyper are based in Ultra-Sonic's tune Annihilating rhythm, but this does not make Hyper hyper a copy. We are talking about two completely musicaly different songs. The main sequence melody is one of the best i've ever heard in a song and i had the opportunity to watch it live, so some of you might understand the feelings i felt at that time. Unity without words part I and Rhapsody in E share the same introduction. They don't transmit in comparison with Hyper hyper the same energy. In fact Hyper hyper is for dancing the other two are for relaxing. Remember Back in time? They are these typical trance gems hidden in B-sides, staying forever in your mind with this nostalgic, mind travelling mood.

Although Scooter have covered, borrowed, call it however you want, numerous songs, still remain legend. And yes, I don't agree with this "policy" of covering songs, however, they have established a huge name in the dance music industry. We have to compromise with the fact that they are not the only ones that do it, yet, they do it very well. Ok it's a little annoying but let's face it, this is it.

you may think about scooter what you want, but this ep is in my opinion their most serious and respectable release. hyper hyper and rhapsody in e contain so much energy of the early techno days! this way i truely respect and love this ep. of course, their further releases are crap and each normal intelligent individual gives a fuck about their current releases. but this one is about really good stuff!

This is the world famous Hyper, Hyper, as funny as untranscendental (which explains the low rating). But this is also the masterpiece "Rhapsody In E", an early trance tune ahead of its time, a stunning melody that blow your mind since the first to the last second. Me too didn't believe this was Scooter the first time I heard it, but he deserve all my respect and congratulations for this world class song.

Hyper Hyper was indeed based in UltraSonic's tracks... not only in Anihilating Rythym, but others... it's like a mix, only Scooter had more sucess, partially because the track sounds better than UltraSonic's ones...
Scooter is not an original in concept... UltraSonic was the real creator of this "live-shouting-techno-happycore" style.
Personally, I've always like Hyper Hyper's melody... since it became a very famous track, of course it's either hated or loved, but still manages to bring back old memories...

But this single has a very very special treat, a track that despite being in one of the most sold techno-galaxy singles ever... is completly ignored/forgotten: Rhapsody in E.
This is one of the best tracks I have ever heard, and probably one in a Kind... I believe it's in the instrumental tracks Scooter show that despite all the mambo-jumbo-siberia-crap, they DO have talent. Yet, they prefer to cash in. This track, along with others is a very definitive proof... marvellous melody, samples, composition and a mood of nostalgia and futuristic embrace... unique. For me (and sorry for the blasphemy) this is PCP vs Chopin, but somehow Scooter made it!

If you listen again, you will realize that those 3 tracks, of this 12" are more or less, the same track in different versions.
Hyper Hyper - is the uplifting hardcore version
Unity Without Words - is the trance version (my favorite)
Raphsody In E - is more Dream/Trance version, with more chords, but somehow "Hyper, Hyper" is still echoing in my mind when I listen to it.

Brilliant EP. Scooter's best release.
It's pitty that they don't make music like this anymore.

Rhapsody In E might be the best track that Scooter has ever done. I was shocked first time i heard this and really thought if this was a Scooter track because it not Happy Hardcore at all, it's pure melodic Trance. The track is a full instrumental with some nice spacey sounds and a nice piano as a lead.
