Back to Black is the second studio album by English recording artist Amy Winehouse, released October 4, 2006 on Island Records. It incorporates 1960s soul music styles and modern R&B production, with subjective lyrics that concern relationships and reflect on Winehouse's experiences with drinking, sex, and drugs. The album produced several singles, including "Rehab", "You Know I'm No Good", "Back to Black", "Tears Dry on Their Own", and "Love Is a Losing Game". A tragic loss I have to agree from a female vocalist who was a cut above the 'pop manufactured x-factor' crap which our ears are bombarded and flooded with. Rather then a typical review on her talent, mine will be about sound quality. I have both editions CD and Vinyl and words cant describe how real the vinyl sounds. Thank U god for Mark Ronson who insisted this album was recorded in the old analog fashion, thus replicating her voice identically (something a cd cant do). People rave on about her voice and how great it was, well my words to u are ''Do her voice justice and listen to it on vinyl as Mark Ronson and Amy intended and close your eyes, it sounds as real her being infront of you.''

This is easily one of the best records of the last decade (the 2000's). Such an amazing voice and some incredible production from Mark Ronson. The lyrics are autobiographical and give a frank insight into her troubled soul singing about sex, drugs, alcohol and Roger Moore. My favourite track for me has to be 'You Know I'm No Good', where the production gives a nice throwback to the Boom-Bap style of 1990's Hip-Hop such as DJ Premier. Other higlights include Rehab, the title track, Tears Dry on Their own and the beautiful ballad 'Love Is A Losing Game'.
I was so gutted to hear about her death. She had so much talent, and it was such a shame she destroyed herself with all the booze and drugs.
May she rest in peace, and let her music be remembered forever.
