Shortly after Heatmiser's break-up Smith recorded these tracks in his basement, fully emerging in his singer-songwriter ambitions that he couldn't fulfill in his old band which actually were about to "make it" at the time.

Apparently he never intended this to be released until someone went 'Dude, this is way too good to never see the light of day'. Certainly a brilliant, genuine artistic expression as always with this fabulous musician - one hell of a debut.
