This is the best sounding version of this album that i have ever heard! I highly recommend getting this version, if you can find it. It is supperior to the regular elektra releases. Some people may not notice the difference right away. It's more noticable with a higher end or really good stereo. Everything is mixed just right on this copy, not that the original sounded bad or anything. This one has a slightly 'warmer' touch to it, and was remastered from the original master tapes. Most other cd presses are from EQ'd copies of the master tapes, so they might sound slightly different than other pressings of the same cd or album. This one sounds just right.

This is probably one of Metallica's best albums. Hard, fast and generally angry. when I first got this album back in 86 , it blew me away. Tracks like Battery, Thing That should Not be, Disposable Heroes and Damage Inc, Rock. And who could go past Orion with Burtons kick ass bass work. Great album. 5/5
