Metallica ‎– ...And Justice For All

first, when i saw this issue, i was very excited,ahaahhh, finally end of the "hunting" of old records this release..sadly, no, this is a scrap, the sound of the 45 rpm vinyl is worst than any cd has.
sad story due the packaging and the merchandise machine wors very well.
of course it has to go immediately, i wont buy any from 45rpm series, really wasting of energy and time.

anyway, the music is fenomenal, really a piece of art

Most people complain about this album's sound. They say it sounds very thin and the bass guitar is inaudible. While this may be true, this is a work of art, and an artist should not be resitrained by traditional standards and expectations of a traditional crowd. The audience should respect artists decisions in the first place and decide for themselves whether they like it or not, but not judge the artist publicly and complain about his decisions.
The most important in this record is the content - that is music, - not how it's produced. One may not like how it's produced, but its production does not prevent one from hearing the actual music. Production of albums like Dischage's Why, first Bathory record, may make them unlistenable, but And Justice for All is a different case. Besides, the big record label that Metallica was on when recording the album, would not have accept a badly-produced album that sounds unlistenable. After it was not an underground record label that would tolerate a poorly produced record from a crappy black metal band. That was a record label that - who knows - maybe was not looking to be the most commercil record label, but after they, I presume, were interested in making a record that a large audience would accept, not some couple hundred of black metal teenagers in their basements. Therefore maybe it does not sound too good, it actually sounds not that horribly like many people who complain tend to assert.
Most people discuss the production of this album, but they totally forget the music itself. It was the decision of creators of this album to mix and master it this way, and people have two options: either to complain about it and not listen to it, or just listen to it and accept it the way it is and the way it was meant to be. Complaints won't help.

Great album. first album to include new member Jason Newstead on bass. Production on this album is shit. Real tinny sound with no bass definition. Souds like it was recorded in a match box. Still.. this album has to go down as a true metal album of all time. 3/5
