referencing 2112, LP, Album,

My copy is slightly different to this one. It has no Mercury label on upper right part of the sleeve. Just the three red marks. On the label, above the skyscrapers, the wording is different. It says "Manufactured by Phonogram Inc. A Polygram company. Distributed by Phonodisc Inc.

My copy is gatefold with a printed inner sleeve. Inside the gatefold it says "Printed in the USA". There is no signs of RCA anywhere on the record.

On first glance, 2112 might appear to contain all the key Rush ingredients, this is somewhat misleading, but to be blunt, 2112 is just a bit overrated, but then that's subjective - this was my first Rush LP too. Still more Heavy Metal than Prog Rock, it's the arrangements on the 2112 suite that are progressive, not necessarily it's music. The title track is obviously the focus of attention and a solid classic, although I found the rest of the record (with exception to Bangkok) totally uninteresting - after the release of 2112 it took Rush well over a decade before they wrote a song that could even be considered 'filler'. Regardless, 2112 is your Rush rite of passage.
