When this record came out, all I cared about was House Music and Disco. I hated Hi-NRG on principle, without any rational basis. It was a matter of caring what others thought. "What would my friends and "fans" think if they heard be play this!" Now that I'm getting older and crankier, I'm making a conscious effort to lighten up and appreciate and enjoy life. That includes appreciating what Hi-NRG music has to offer. That said, this is a brilliant record. It's especially brilliant in light of poor Liza's recent disastrous marriage. It's as if this record was an eerie premonition by Liza and ABOUT Liza. The lyrics are brilliant, the delivery and vocal style are typically campy, over-the-top and humorous, whether intentionally tongue-in-cheek or not. The various versions of this great song are very easy to find in almost any format or "version", and worth a listen for anyone interested in Disco or Synth-Pop.
