A long work of great pathos, very finely textured and, unusually for an ambient work of this length, it commands attention throughout. The blend of sounds is almost like that of a chamber quartet and yet there is apparently nothing string - like used in its creation. I am increasingly impressed with the Italian ambient movement of late and this is one of its finest examples. What a brilliant pair of collaborators these two are, I hope they work together again soon.
